Trip to Mountains - Mumbai to Uttarakhand

The Journey to Uttarakhand -

Yes! Uttarakhand the heaven on earth, with the name only we started imagining the view of mountains, rivers the refreshing weather, peace & mental satisfaction.

The journey is related which I travel to my native and other places which I explored in Uttarakhand.

The best mode of traveling across states in India is the Indian Railway, they are cost effective and convenient too. The journey started from Mumbai "Borivali" to Uttarakhand "Ramnagar" we have prebooked the tickets as per IRCTC booking Standards.

There is a direct train to Ramnagar which runs once a week, Train no 22975 from Bandra Terminus to Ramnagar which is the last stop of the train too. The train takes a total of 27hrs and 20 minutes duration. the train got 28 Station during the journey.

The train starts from Bandra Terminus but we got our boarding from Borivali Station at 5.30 am in the morning and our journey started.

The train got longest halt time at Vadodara Jn, Ratlam Jn, Achhnera Jn, Kasganj, a maximum of 10 min.

Usually, we travel in air-conditioned coached in the hot season as they are cool from the inside but I would really recommend traveling in winter too.

The biggest advantage is you don’t have to carry heavy blankets with you if you are traveling in ac coaches. Blankets and two sheets are provided in the coach for every valid passenger but in non-ac coaches, you have to carry heavy blankets with you to save yourself from the cold weather.

The inside the compartment the temperature is set between 18-24 which is far higher than the outside temperature.

The Indian Railway, IRCTC has done the best thing after bringing an e-catering facility. (ordering food online) now you can order food through the IRCTC application, while you are traveling by train.

and the best part of the application is very user-friendly to use. You just have to put your PNR Number it will show you the list of railway stations from your current railway station to further stations where the facility is available. You can make the payment online, the delivery person will deliver the food to your seat.

We finally reached Lalkuan Junction railway station, at 6.00 in the morning, the train was before time and the best part of the morning if you getting tea in the chilled morning with good looking platform The weather was chilled outside, but it was worth going out of the couch.
